Unity changed Maya Angelou’s life. Here’s how.

When she was in her 20s, Dr. Maya Angelou discovered the Unity Church. In this segment from Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, Dr. Angelou is moved to tears while recalling the revelation, found in a Unity book, that changed her life forever.

Lessons in Truth Classes
Mondays, February 23-March 30, 6-7:30 p.m. with Liane Moores
Fridays, February 20-March 27, 10:30 a.m.-noon with Iris Strong
In the absence of a minister, some of our Chaplains are volunteering to lead book groups based on Unity basics. If you have never read Lessons In Truth by H. Emilie Cady, or if you’ve read it many times before, you’re invited to join us! Both groups will meet in the Fillmore Room in our office building next door to the church. Books are available for purchase at the information table or you can read the book online. Sign up at the back table. By love offering.

Guest Speaker Rev. Pat Zogar

She served the Positive Living Centre of Victoria for 8 years, CSL Winnipeg for 3 years and CSL Kamloops for 2 years before “retiring” to her daughter’s farm in Cedar a year ago.
